XP Startups: Back to Business (B2B) Webinar Series
The XP Startups: Back to Business (B2B) Webinar Series is a capacity-building initiative jointly implemented by the Miriam College – Henry Sy Sr. Innovation Center (HSSIC), Miriam College – Technology Business Incubator (MC-TBI), and Entrepinoy Volunteers Foundation, Inc. (EVFI). Launched in 2021, the program was developed to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem by bridging academic learning with real-world business practice. Building on its initial implementation, the program continued up to present with an expanded and more structured webinar series.
The B2B Webinar Series is designed to translate entrepreneurship theories into practical applications through expert-led discussions, case studies, and interactive sessions with experienced entrepreneurs and industry practitioners. It focuses on critical areas of startup development and business management, equipping participants with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to build, sustain, and scale enterprises in a competitive environment.
The program consists of eight (8) thematic webinar sessions covering essential aspects of entrepreneurship, including business model development, operations and inventory management, digital marketing, costing and pricing, people management, basic accounting, business law and taxation, and business funding and pitching. All sessions are delivered virtually to ensure accessibility and broad participation.
The primary beneficiaries of the program are MC-TBI startups, students and faculty of the School of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy, as well as professionals and entrepreneurs within the Miriam College community and partner networks. Through this initiative, the program aims to foster a strong startup culture, encourage innovation and research-driven enterprises, and provide participants with practical insights into the realities, challenges, and successes of business development.
Overall, the XP Startups: Back to Business Webinar Series serves as a collaborative platform that connects education, industry expertise, and entrepreneurial practice, reinforcing the shared commitment of MC-HSSIC, MC-TBI, and EVFI to inclusive innovation and sustainable enterprise growth.
