Lean Management Training Program for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
In today’s business environment, emerging developments like globalization, privatization, deregulation and advances in information technology, pose serious challenges to the entrepreneur. It has been identified that in order to compete in today’s market, continuous improvement strategies will help the SMEs to respond to their customer with lower cost; improve quality; and all at increased speed.
The program is a three (3) months program with training, application and monitoring about lean management. First, there will be (2) day seminar about the concept and application of Lean management as the key productivity factor to streamline and eliminate waste from processes and operations and achieve bottom-line savings. The Lean Management Workshop is a 2-day blended training and project-oriented program covering the Lean body of knowledge. It consists of 16 hours of classroom training and coaching/mentoring in assisted project-work to allow the participant to apply the Lean tools and techniques learned in the course in an actual process improvement project. After completion of the intensive classroom portion of the certificate program, the Lean Management Course is aligned with the Lean body of knowledge of the International Independent Board for Lean Certification (IIBLC).
EVFI initially offer this program in partnership of the Department of Science and Technology- National Capital Region and were able to train about 150 enterprises which is also the beneficiaries of DOST’s Small Enterprises Upgrading Program (SETUP).
